My fascination and love for costuming started at my first convention when I was thirteen. In 2008, I created my first costume; a suit of Mandalorian armor. I developed from there and after going to many conventions, and meeting many fascinating people across the spectrum of cultures became very involved with the steampunk community and started learning leatherwork on my own.

Years and hundreds of leather hides later, I still strive to create incredible, themed works of wearable art and costumes that our customers proudly wear. We love to help people bring their original concepts to life and work hard to give our customers exactly what they need.

You can find me and my staff all along the convention circuit where we run panels and judge costume contests throughout Texas and have been featured in numerous publications including Doctor Fantastique’s Show of Wonders. Our work has also been used in several film projects and webseries including Song of the Starslayer and Antideluvian.

At JAFantasyArt, we like to describe our work as “Next Level Costuming.” We are constantly trying new things with new materials and techniques to make our work more interesting and more unique. We love combining illustration and leatherworking to create fantastical three dimensional images on wallets, book covers, play mats, and all other sorts of items.
